LEADERSHIP POSITION

I choose to be a Democrat because I relate instinctively to the "heart" I see in the party for the human condition – for those who need a helping hand, a stepping stone to a better life, an opportunity otherwise denied. Within the framework of the party, I am a Moderate Democrat. I use the word "moderate" to reflect my mainstream political position. I do not subscribe to extremes in political thinking because extreme positions are unrealistic, divisive and unproductive. Instead, I subscribe to practical, common sense solutions to problems.
